Directions to the K-9 Divine Dog Boarding, Daycare, and Training Ranch in Nanjemoy, Maryland
There are two main routes from Washington DC to K-9 Divine Dog Ranch. If you are coming from the Northwest or a Southeast DC neighborhood closer to the Potomac River, head toward I-295. If you are driving from Northeast DC, you could opt for I-301. Once you get closer to the ranch, there are multiple local routes.
From Northwest and Southeast DC, routing through Fort Washington, Maryland:
Route from Washington DC and Fort Washington MD to K-9 Divine Dog Ranch in Nanjemoy, Maryland.
From Northwest Washington DC:
- Start by heading southeast on I-495 (Capital Beltway) towards Maryland.
- Take I-295 South (Anacostia Freeway) after crossing the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Maryland.
- Continue on I-295 South until it merges with MD-210 (Indian Head Highway).
- Follow MD-210 South for approximately 20 miles.
- Turn right onto MD-225 (Hawthorne Road) and continue for about 9 miles.
- Turn left onto MD-224 (Riverside Road).
- Follow MD-224 south for approximately 13 miles until you reach Nanjemoy.
- After driving through downtown Nanjemoy, begin to watch for the ranch at 2240 Liverpool Point Road, on your right.
From Southeast Washington DC:
- Start by heading south on I-295 from Southeast Washington DC.
- Take I-295 South to MD-210 South (Indian Head Highway).
- Continue on MD-210 South for approximately 20 miles.
- Turn right onto MD-225 West (Hawthorne Road).
- After about 9 miles, turn left onto MD-224 (Riverside Road).
- Follow MD-224 South for approximately 13 miles.
- Continue to drive through downtown Nanjemoy on MD-426, which becomes Liverpool Point Road.
- Turn right at K-9 Divine, 2240 Liverpool Point Road.
Alternate Route from Fort Washington, Maryland:
- Start out by heading south on MD-210 S.
- Continue on MD-210 S for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with MD-227 in
- Accokeek.
- Turn right onto MD-227 W and follow it for about 7 miles.
- At the intersection with MD-6 (Port Tobacco Road), turn left onto MD-6 W.
- Follow MD-6 W for approximately 15 miles, passing through the Nanjemoy area.
- Turn left onto Liverpool Point Road.
- Continue on Liverpool Point Road for about 2 miles until you reach 2240 Liverpool Point Road, Nanjemoy, MD.
From NorthEAST DC and the Eastern Suburbs, routing through La Plata, Maryland:
Route from Northeast Washington DC and La Plata MD to K-9 Divine Dog Ranch in Nanjemoy, Maryland.
From Northeast Washington DC:
- Start by heading towards US-301 South.
- Take US-301 South into Maryland and continue until you reach La Plata.
- In La Plata, turn right onto MD-225 West (Hawthorne Road) and drive for approximately 9 miles.
- Turn left onto MD-224 (Riverside Road). Continue on MD-224 for about 13 miles.
- After driving through downtown Nanjemoy, begin to watch for the ranch at 2240 Liverpool Point Road, on your right.
Alternate route from La Plata, Maryland:
- Follow MD-6 W (Pott Tobacco Road) approximately 10.2 miles to Durham Church Rd
- Turn left onto Durham Church Road and continue to drive 1.5 miles.
- At the intersection with MD-425 (also called Ironsides Road) at Christ Church Durham Parish, continue to drive straight (heading southeast).
- At MD-426 (Baptist Church Road), turn right.
- Continue to drive through downtown Nanjemoy on MD-426, which becomes Liverpool Point Road.
- Turn right at K-9 Divine, 2240 Liverpool Point Road.
