Can we come to visit the ranch?

Absolutely! Our reception desk is open from 7am to 9pm. Drop by anytime!

Is it ok for me to call and check on my dog?

Absolutely!

What kind of collar do you recommend?

For dog walking, we recommend a martingale (no-slip) collar, a harness, or a gentle leader.

For boarding, we recommend a margingale (no-slip) collar. A collar embroidered with your name and phone number is a great choice, since tags can easily fall off.

We do not allow choke chains, prong collars or shock collars and will remove them upon arrival.

What about fleas, ticks, and heartworms?

We require that all clients use flea, tick and heartworm preventative. We have an extensive outdoor area, with all of the things that exist in nature – including mosquitoes and ticks. We do check the dogs over for ticks.

Can I drop my dog off or pick them up at the ranch?

Yes! Our address is 2240 Liverpool Point Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Please make sure to schedule with us in advance, so that we know when to expect you.

Do you offer grooming?

We don’t offer full grooming, but can do baths and nail trims.

What if there is an emergency with my pet?

We have a local vet that we work with. The Boarding/Daycare Agreement includes a release form to allow our local vet to treat your pet in case of emergency. We will also call you or your emergency contact in case of an emergency to find out how you would like us to proceed. We will provide basic first aid as needed on-site, and notify you of any incidents.

How can I pay?

You can pay using your credit card on ProPet, PayPal, or in person. We also accept personal checks and cash.

Why do you need my key for pickup and drop off?

We want your dog to spend as much time at the ranch playing and having fun as possible, and the least time possible in the van. In order to be as efficient as possible during pickups and drop offs, we require a copy of your key, and a fob for your building if one is needed for entry.

Scheduling Questions

How do I schedule daycare/boarding?

You can schedule by phone, e-mail or using ProPet. Click on the ProPet link to schedule daycare or boarding.

What if I don’t have a ProPet login and password?

Email us at k9divine@k-9divine.com, and we will set you up with a ProPet account, and walk you through the scheduling process.

What is the cutoff for scheduling daycare and boarding?

The cutoff time for booking daycare and boarding is 7:30 PM the night before.

If I didn’t get a confirmation e-mail, am I scheduled?

We send confirmations for boarding and daycare. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us to be sure your pet is scheduled. We appreciate you checking with us to make sure your pet is scheduled correctly, as we do not want to make any mistakes. Please feel free to call us or e-mail us to be sure your pet is on the schedule.

Can I walk in for daycare at the ranch without scheduling in advance?

Yes. Walk-in hours are 7 AM – 9 PM. New clients must bring their dog for a socialization visit, fill out a daycare/boarding agreement and provide us with proof of vaccinations before being enrolled in daycare or boarding.

Van Service Questions

What is your pickup area for boarding?

We currently offer van service in the following zip codes: 20001, 20002, 20003, 20004, 20005, 20006, 20007, 20008, 20009, 20010, 20011, 20015, 20016 and 20037.

What if I live outside of your pickup area, but I really want my dog to come to your ranch?

You are always welcome to drop off and pick up your dog at the ranch.

Is there a place in DC that I can drop off or pick up my dog?

Can I meet the van somewhere in DC?

What time will you pick up my dog for boarding?

Our pickup window is 9:00 – 11:00 AM, and our drop off window is 5:00-8:00 PM. Timing may vary depending on traffic conditions.

Can my dog be dropped off in the morning, or picked up in the evening?

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of daycare, boarding and training bookings. We must charge for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice. If your pet suddenly becomes ill or there is another emergency, please contact us and we will not charge you for short notice cancellation.

I am in labor / having an emergency and I need to schedule daycare on very short notice!

What should I send with my dog for boarding?

Please send your dog’s food, feeding instructions, and any medications or supplements that they may need.

What should I not send with my dog for boarding?

Bedding, treats and toys. Dogs may feel protective or competitive over their own possessions, so we ask you to leave these at home to avoid tension.
